Bangkok never sleeps, or so you might think as you fly into Suvarnabhumi International Airport. From luxurious mega malls like MBK and Siam Discovery in Siam Square to the famous Khao San Road in the Banglamphu district, this hard working city is packed with commerce, fiery food and soothing temples.
Catch a boat up river on the Chao Phraya Express or discover different neighborhoods on the blissfully air-conditioned BTS Skytrain. A taxi or exhilarating tuk-tuk ride is never far away from the big attractions, which include Chinatown, Jim Thompson House and the floating markets at Damnoen Saduak.
To step out of the frenetic energy of street food stalls, amulet markets and the sizzling temperatures, discover an oasis of calm in one of the many Buddhist temples. Be awed by the majesty of the Grand Palace and marvel at the world’s longest reclining Buddha at Wat Pho. While you’re there why not relax even more with a traditional Thai massage?
From the sky-scraping luxury hotels with world famous rooftop bars to a cheap hostel bed in the center of town, Booking.com will help you explore all that Bangkok has to offer.
Unfortunately, we hate Bangkok taxi & tuktuk.
By the way, I advise you all not to take a taxi in Bangkok - because most drivers will not use the meter, you will have to pay a very high price, most importantly, their driving is terrible, very fast, very dangerous, unsafe. We almost had an accident nearly 10 times during our time using Bangkok's taxi service. Some of them are very impolite and their service attitude is extremely bad. Instead, buy a 4G sim card at the airport and only use the Grab app, only choose Grab Car. That will be the best option.
China Town is extremely dirty and expensive.

Bangkok is a wonderful city to visit.
Bangkok is a wonderful city to visit. The people are friendly, there is plenty to see and do and some wonderful dining options.
We spent time on the river, used the BTS and took a lovely stroll around the central park.
This trip was mainly focused on relaxing rather than touring and our stay at the Ramada Wyndham hotel was perfect for this.

Very interesting city with a true identity and great infrastructure.
Quite a bit to do for a few days but can be slightly overwhelming after a few days. I think what I respect the most about Bangkok is how clean and safe it is.
The people and culture will always be the highlight of Bangkok.
Thai people may be very proud of their city.

Thai people are very gentle and polite.
Thai people are very gentle and polite. I like the rich religious atmosphere, with many Buddha statutes and pagodas all around the city where people stop and make offerings. Food is great. There are so many excellent hotels in affordable prices comparing to other Asian metropolitans. Double your calculated traffic time always if you stay in downtown Bangkok.

I try going outside of Bangkok as much as possible, chang mia , chang ria Hua hin, Koh Samui are nice places, there is so many very beautiful old temples with so much history, they are so peaceful and relaxing to visit 🙏
The most convenient location to go to BKK, just few minutes walk to the airport link station through the linked walkway that also connects to BTS. The hotel is new, good size room, big glasses windows, strong WiFi, good water flow, plentiful buffet breakfast choices and welcoming staff of all levels. It has 2 swimming pool for quest to choose and in-house restaurants and bar. It was my pleasure to stay here for 3 nights and met my expectations to stay at the most convenient location to go places in Bangkok by public transportation.
The hotel is conveniently located in the buzzing Sukhumvit area of Bangkok, 10 mins from MBK and other shopping malls, and one street behind the Jim Thompson house. The staff at reception and security was friendly and professional. My room was spacious, clean and quiet. I had all amenities in the bathroom, including free bottles of water.
At check-out, I was asked if I needed a taxi, told the price prior to the reservation and had a wonderful private drive to the airport. That was a nice added service.
We stayed in the Berkeley in London and expected probably same and more for the Bangkok Berkeley, as all our hotels were already very nice. But this is plain standard hotel without Thai touch in fact. But nice area, very spacious room, clean, but to common.
Breakfast is amazing what they offer, but is so crowdy and noisy to eat.
Friendly staff.
Amazing beautiful pool. large pool, so you can actually swim. (pity that pool is closed in the late evening, like in many hotels in THailand.)
The location is good for exploring Bangkok, walking distance from Khao San Road but far enough away that it's not busy. The staff are very friendly (they don't speak much English but communication wasn't an issue). Hotel offers several services including laundry, airport shuttle and cafe. Felt safe and secure with key card activated door to the building and was good for price we paid. Rooms are all upstairs with no lift, not an issue for us but some might want to be aware of this.
Incredibly beautiful, spacious and fresh rooms for a small price. A real gem within walking distance of the gigantic mall: Icon Siam. The free shuttle boat from Icon Siam to Asiatique is also a nice extra!
We have stayed here the most pleasant of all our hotels in Bangkok, partly because of the friendly employees: Ariel and Alex. Two toppers who take the time to make sure you feel at home!
The free coffee/tea every morning was also so nice!
Relatively peaceful and quiet area of Bangkok, 5 min walk from airport rail link and Phaya Thai bts station. Excellent reception, staff. Breakfast was not the same everyday (always slightly different). Large clean rooms and sound proof too (unlike some hotels where you can hear what your neighbour is doing - like having a shower. You could even get your room cleaned almost immediately by calling guest services. Great ambiance.
Truly 5 stars!
Can't say enough things about our stay at the Aetas Lumpini hotel. The staff at the front desk was amazing. Extremely professional and very helpful. The room we stayed in was exceptional! It was very clean and comfortable. This was the perfect hotel to end our vacation in Thailand. We had drinks by the pool and it was a great way to unwind after a long day of walking around Bangkok. The staff was exceptional and should be commended. Bravo!!!
The hotel is located in the heart of Bangkok city. It's easy to go anywhere from this location.
The room is very spacious and the water heater was working well.
The room isn't noisy, despite the hotel being next to a big road.
It'll be nicer if we're given two pillows each instead of only one pillow per person.
Otherwise, perfect for us.
Price also very reasonable for such big room at this location.
The main reason to stay in this part of Bangkok is the proximity to DMK airport. The hotel has a free hourly shuttle to the metro stop which is a five minute walk to the airport. You can also take a taxi directly to the airport for 250 THB. That said, the hotel is fabulous. It has a good fitness center and a good Japanese/Thai restaurant. I left too early in the morning to try the breakfast.
I like the location of 4m pratu nam hotel. Near to 7E, BTS Phaya Thai station, pratunam market, a lot of massage service shop and some mall. Just walking distance. Also, u can buy some souvenir at hotel. The staffs so helpful. They help me to booking taxi to transfer from hotel to airport. And allowed me to check in early. Will repeat stay here if i go to Bangkok again. Very recommended
Hotel was located nearby the airport bus stop (5-7 mins away on foot) and it was easy to find it. Clean/spacious room with AC and no street noise issues. There are no MRT stations in the Khao San district. However, it was very easy to go to other touristic areas in Bangkok from Khao San by ferry and bus. Of course, staff was very friendly and helpful.
The rooms were a bit old and tired but still it was a nice suite.
Rooms were kept clean and no bugs unlike some other hotels in Thailand
Location was good, beside a large park and close to the social areas of Bangkok
Staff all friendly
The room card had credit on it for vending machines with was a nice touch
The shop in the lobby is useful
Hotel in good location(if u like local food). Hotel's stuff they're really friendly. My partner leave his phone on taxi, hotel stuff Very helpful... to get he's phone back in 1hrs! Amazing! Also help to book with PCR test kit, arrange taxi pick up from airport(in good price),we both like it! Will be back to stay here when we return to Bangkok!
Very nice hotel. Super friendly staffs and the reception staffs are very kind and friendly. We stayed for the first time in Bangkok and booked 3 nights. We were very happy that it is well connected to the city and next to Chinatown.
MTR Wat Mangkon is about 5 minutes walk away and it connects you to city and Airport line.
This is a clean, safe, elegant and affordable hotel. People who want the best nights near Huai Kwang must come to this hotel. The staff is super nice. The theme of the hotel is really fashionable to see. This is one of the best hotels in Bangkok with the reasonable price I've ever seen.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean, good sized and very reasonably priced room. Close to a busy area of Bangkok but this street is an oasis of calm . Good Thai and Indian restaurants in easy walking distance. More welcoming and personal than bigger more expensive chain hotels.
The staff especially the front desk officer named Ms. Belle was so accommodating. The room boys and chamberlain are good, they doing their job smoothly. If I have again seminars or other things to do in Bangkok I'd like to book again Red Planet Hotel. 😊
This hotel is very shady with many big trees. There is an escalator connecting to the electric train station. Traveling anywhere is very convenient. Friendly staff Better than many hotels in Bangkok at similar prices
One of the best hotels we have been staying in Bangkok. We really enjoyed the breakfast and the location is perfect for sightseeing trips and at the same time very close to local stores and restaurants.
